4 minute rebuttal for the debate

Social media comes under fire daily for various reasons: false information, bots, trending topics and the networks themselves. However, when undertaking research on social media, what does an individual do when they come across content that should be reported. For example, hate speech, abuse, threats of violence offline. From an ethical communicator perspective, what is your duty to report harmful posts. Is it even ethical to report content from your participants? To provide some thoughts, Georgetown University’s Berkley Center for Religion, Peace and World Affairs Forum asked, “Is Social Media Ethical? (Links to an external site.)” I am on the pro side of the argument. I have write a rebuttal of 4 minutes defending the argument after my other partner gives the opening statement.
